No more night with the german Dj markus Homm???

  2. dan says:

    He’s back in March.

When Marcus Homm is in Hong Kong, then he’s playing exclusively at Yumla … although since Xmas Marcus has been travelling extensively, and therefore hasn’t been able to join the schedule.

  3. Lisa says:

Hello dan thank you very much for your Time to explain. It would be Great to have him back
in Yumla. Will keep checking up here for Updates.
    :)) Lisa

  4. David says:

No schedule for march? Wont take the risk again and just walk down to Yumla like the other week.

  5. David says:

As Long as there is quality i can deal with Random :)
    thank you

  6. yumla says:

quality is relative but I get your meaning.

incidentally what was it that pissed you off about the music last week? always happy to listen to constructive criticism.

    • David says:

not particular pissed of but i do have nights and dj´s i prefer to others thats why i am checking the schedule on a regular base. At some point i find a lot of the same music played by some dj´s and some nights and a bit “cheesy”. But again thats why i am watching out for the schedule to avoid that:)

      thank you for listening anyway

I totally understand you – the economy going rotten in 2009 meant we lost a lot of our expat DJ roster; and the pool of good local DJs playing an upfront sound is pretty small.

And one of the reasons for us expanding into other genres & styles of club-night* was to alleviate the repetition we’ve been suffering these last few months. I think I know which night you are referring to now, and yes the sound is full-on mainstream inter-cut with some pretty grimy underbelly stuff. It’s not a sound for everyone, but then everyone doesn’t come every week :)

Thanks for the dialogue, much appreciated. Dan

*(look out for our new Wednesday events pushing funk, soul, dub, dub-step, harder jungle, oldskool & underground hip-hop, revival breaks plus a bunch of other stuff which the different DJs have proposed that I don’t even know what to start calling it … Fridays & Saturdays will remain essentially 4/4, but you can hear varying qualities of 4/4 almost everywhere now.)
