new monthly: floor
Sunday, September 6th, 2009Launching next weekend is FLOOR – a brand new collaborative monthly residency between leading Hong Kong producers Amil Khan & Dan F – which kicks off 9PM Saturday night and will build onwards, upwards & outwards until late.
The main emphasis for the night is music for dancing… pure and simple: Music to get lost in, anonymous peaks & swells, emotive highs and deep rolling lows all bound together by one underlying pulse. Complete and utter pompous crap?
Coming from anyone else perhaps, however Amil (founder of HK’s first proper techno label, Sino Records and part of the original Technasia line-up) and Dan (founder of HK’s second proper record label, Disuye Records and creator of Yumla) share a collective international presence within electronic dance music extending well over two decades.
So there you have it! Enough blabbering. 8 hours of the finest house & techno every month, presented on the best tuned sound-system in the City and hosted by two leading proponents of the genre. And if you don’t give a rats arse about music then you can always look forward to the HK$30 vodka + Red Bull promotion between 9-11PM!
Either way, wear comfortable shoes and get down early. Click the flyer image for full details. Join the FaceBook event here.
disuye098: auerbach / juliet

Two new tracks by Dan F out next week – here’s an advance listen for the Yumla crowd.
‘Auerbach’ is a heavy tech-tribal roller that does more damage on a big PA than a quick MP3 listen would ever suggest.
This track has been played at Yumla many times during it’s evolution with some pretty drastic alterations along the way! The first version was heard in Fukuoka and the final master was blasted out by Frankie Lam at Foundation One last week. Currently the only DJ on earth to have a copy.
‘Juliet’ is part DJ-tool, part melodic techno track in it’s own right – surprisingly effective! – but most definitely the b-side of this pairing.
Both tracks available to buy exclusively at Beatport from Thursday 20th August 2009 on Disuye Records. We will update this post with a direct Beatport link once it becomes available.
