classic style breakbeat roller “arctic warfare super magnum” plus the epic-ly trashed melodic techno flip “do the decent thing” both by yumla honcho dan f were released earlier this week and are now available on beatport.

both tracks were mastered by the legendary techno producer martin eyerer who, after playing at yumla a few weeks back agreed to handle future mastering for hong kong's disuye records label.

the release is titled the accuracy international ep and marks the second EP for the label this month, confirming the end of disuye's two year hiatus.

the next release for the label is dan f's album "rendition" followed by two minimal / tech-house cuts by fellow hong kong based dj & producer whømp.

round five! as part of our covert domination of electronic music in 2008, we've decided bring over some of the newest & nicest producer DJs from around the globe in a new series of free events called yumla knows: ... no door charge, blindingly good sets played by international acts on the up; no hype, just music.

yumla knows:tom clark - no techno night could ever be complete without at least one performance from Berlin's Tom Clark ... past residencies at E-Werk, the legendary Tresor, many many many after-hours events and Tom's gig at the now famous Watergate, plus his label highgrade records are all mentioned with a sense of reverence by anyone who has had the opportunity to be involved. And here's your chance, in Hong Kong, to be a part of it too. Saturday 28th June 2008, You know the rest :)

quick little back story ... Yumla honcho, music producer and sometimes dj dan f has his second studio album (called "Rendition") due out on monday 7th july 2008. more info on that to come next week.

In advance of the full album release, UK based dj and sometimes producer Elite Force kindly re-worked the opening track "Right On" into a suitably messed-up 8 minute long breakbeat roller. and having enjoyed quite a few months of lofty promotional airplay the EP now available to buy on the ubiquitous beatport. direct links:

* for some reason you need to click "View Tracks" on the second URL for the release to show up... oddness

As usual the preview clip is smack in middle of the break-down so we'll upload a better preview elsewhere. At the end of the day it is Elite Force so what more do you need to know?! Follow up remixes include a few extremely special guests producers, which are currently keeping quite schtum about.

hey kids, get yer dancing boots on! tuesday 8th april 2008 dj stack-aly of underground clothing giant FibreOps returns once again for a night of psychobilly, freakbeat, garage rock plus un-heathly volumes of rhythm & booze.

that last gig was a blast, this one promises more blasting. got something better to do on a tuesday night? then piss-off and do it and make sure you get it done before 9pm.

drinks specials up on the blackboard, or just harass michelle for freebies and see how far that approach gets ya (typically nowhere).

[edit: the $10 first prize has been won by DJ Basil Tam for noticing our deliberate mistake of posting the january schedule up instead of march ... nice to see someone is paying attention!]

yumla pretty much introduced electro-house and minimal to hong kong over the last few years ... and now (based on exceptionaly scientific factors) we're predicting the triumphant swell of tech-house once again.

march is a good solid month filled with good solid music and no good solid excuses for lack of participation. put on your fancy-pants, come down and have a wiggle.
